Manufactured exclusively for Blue Ridge Knives this remarkable expression of the Manix 2 features a full-flat-ground PlainEdge™ blade machined from 52100 tool steel. Best known as the steel used for ball bearings, 52100 was traditionally used only by bladesmiths who could hand forge it from its original form into usable knife blades. Now available in flat stock suitable for factory production, this classic knifemaking steel provides extraordinary wear resistance and edge holding qualities, but because it is a non-stainless steel, is vulnerable to corrosion. To address that concern, this knife features a tough, corrosion-resistant Diamond Like Carbon (DLC) blade coating that protects it and gives it a no-nonsense non-reflective finish.

To showcase this elite blade, the handle of this Manix 2 features distinctive dark gray G-10 scales and matching black-coated liners, pocket clip, and screws. All other features are consistent with the best-selling standard version of this model, including a high-strength Ball-Bearing Lock™ mechanism, reversible tip-up carry, and completely ambidextrous operation.
