Spyderco's Rescue sheepfoot blade is flat saber-ground VG-10. Available in three colors. Black and orange Rescues are fully SpyderEdged with serrations to the tip of the blade. By removing a crescent-shaped portion from the blade's spine we create a positioning spot for the index finger, offering two unique functions: You can place your index fingertip in the spine's crescent and closely control the blade's tip or blanket the entire index finger along the spine (fingertip into the crescent) and slide the back of your hand under clothing allowing your hand to be the cutting guide, in contact with flesh rather than the sharpened blade.
