Re: Magnacut Inkosi Insingo large blade.
I am not aware of any differences. Because there really aren't any differences. :rofl In the steels that CRK uses/used people would not really notice any difference in real use. S30V, S35VN, and now Magacut are so all in the same category so noticing what steel is which in real use would be highly ...

Magnacut Inkosi Insingo large blade.
I recently purchased a Magnacut Inkosi Insingo large blade from a Chris Reeve listed Dealer. When comparing it to the same model in S45Vn they have made allot of changes you can really tell in the way it cuts I have owned many Chris Reeve Sebenza Inkosi etc and this is the sharpest I have ever came ...

Re: Forum Knife???
I cast my current vote as a Magnacut DLC fully blacked out Military 2 with a Wharncliffe blade. And a nice Spider emblem in the handle like they did long ago with another Military Forum knife, not the PM2.

Re: Spyderco 2023 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
... If they come out as salt which in my mind equals lightweight in Magnacut then no thanks. To my mind I do not like the salt series construction even though I own a few Salt series and seeing the PM2 coming out in that construction using Magnacut is not something I want, Yeah I get it corrosion r...

Re: Swayback purchase
I had 2 and sold one because I realized as well built as this thing is it is liable to outlive me so why have 2? If you like a Wharncliffe blade this is a good one to get. The CTS-XHP is allot like S30V but a bit less edge retention and a bit easier to sharpen corrosion resistance also quite good. T...

Re: Spyderco 2023 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming
These are the only two on my radar and will likely be the last Spyderco purchase unless they come out in Magnacut then it will be a purchase all over again. Re: Good sharpener for Magnacut
If all you want to accomplish is keep them sharp then purchase a Spyderco Gauntlet with both CBN & Ceramic rods. Once I got this I never had a need for the sharpmaker again. Just remember a sharpie is your friend, with a sharpie you can get more out of these rods than you might believe. The Spy...

Re: Military 2 release?
I have been using my Military 2 since mid August. I own several of the liner lock versions in different steels. In my opinion this is how the Military should have been with the comp lock for a long time, when I pick up an older version I keep hunting for the comp lock to close it... No joke the comp...

Re: Military 2 release?
Yeah, it appears that the change of steel on those two (Native & UKPK) were almost considered a CQI change rather than a new product reveal. Would a steel-change, especially to the heralded MagnaCut, be considered CQI? I wonder if MagnaCut’s heat-treat (warping?) is making Spyderco proceed with...

Re: Military 2 (PRE-ORDER) posted on KnifeCenter $196
Honestly I always saw the liner lock on the military as less than ideal even though I own several of them in different steels but it was perfect for it's time of development and the comp lock should be just fine in fact better even in many ways. I have been carrying a S30V PM2 DLC Wharncliffe exclus...

Re: Military 2 (PRE-ORDER) posted on KnifeCenter $196
I have had my preorder in for a while now and whenever it hits is fine by me, no hurry. For those knocking S30V or bored with it you probably are not sharpening it correctly to it's full potential, it took me years to figure it out and now it is what I carry every day. S30V PM2 DLC Wharncliffe to be...

Buy the system that gets you the most access to high performance stones.
Don't put the cart before the horse.
This from my purchases is a gimmick company by and large not another dollar from my wallet so says I.

So yeah like okay anyway I jumped to the last post mostly because it was Sal and now I have like zero interest in finding out what all this behavior is all about.
I move to delete the thread. I mean seriously we all know Spyderco will correct an issue with their product.

Answer is in the description: https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/306CBN/CBN-Benchstone/1901 Thanks Bemo that's where I recall reading it but what is the mesh of the CBN rods for the sharpmaker and the gauntlet guess I'll find out and post here when the bench stone arrives since no one from Sp...

CBN Bench Stone Mesh Values? Grit?
I pulled the trigger today and ordered the double sided Spyderco CBN Bench stone from Knife Center. As I recall one side is 400 Mesh and the other side is 800 Mesh. Which Mesh is used on the CBN Cat's-eye rods used on the Spyderco Gauntlet? I am familiar with these and love them. I am guessing 800 M...
