Gabor Szakonyi, designer of the Astute. IMO one of the best looking knives in Spyderco’s lineup an very underrated.

The wharncliffe looks great on the Lil’ Native. I’m curious if that would translate well to the Native 5?

Does anyone know what the hardness is? I know there are other factors in performance I was just curious to find out what they landed at.

Would it really affect the cost that much? G10 is all over the Spyderco's value line and I routinely see it in cheap $30 folders. I know as a US made model the extra labor of machining G10 will cost a little more but I think more than 10 or 20 bucks would be pushing it. That being said what the heck...

The Astute is my first value line Spyderco. I bought it purely because of its design. IMO Spyderco’s most beautiful non-Glessar model. I’m happy to say it feels as good as it looks in the hand. They could be doing so much more with this model- I picked XL, Taichung, and all of the above.

I think you may be on to something ;) I didn't know about Ocelot but that is pretty close to what I had in mind. I'm thinking a thicker blade stock to provide a good landing spot for a finger on the forward jimping. Length wise I'm imagining something maybe a bit smaller than the Delica so that an a...
