Re: Help choosing gift

Spyderco actually has a great salt line up that are corrosion resistant, so great for going fishing! This links to Spyderco's website and the Salt line up. https://www.spyderco.com/?s=Salt The Manix 2 is a great EDC knife and has a salt version as well. Do check what the legislation of your state sa...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

Next mail call today is the Spymyto. I'm a sucker for green micarta so that's already a plus. The micarta and Ti scales are well done however, not a fan of the milling pattern on the Ti. Nice crowned blade but imo verry disappointing it's not a hollow grind but a beefy flat grind. Action and detent ...

Re: Show off your latest purchase

Took a bit of a gamble with this model as it's larger than my general preference. But the Endura crossed my path and my curiosity won as I wanted a K390 blade and something that can take a beating. The wharncliffe blade is a slicing beast! I have larger hands and there is more than enough handle len...

Re: Fixing Lock Rock in Seki FRN lockbacks

Just got the Endura 4 wharncliffe in K390. First thing I checked was the backlock. When I hold the blade and firmly press down it has the tiniest bit of lock rock. With normal use you will never notice it, even when pushing down hard so a non issues for me.

Re: Shaman thoughts

The Shaman is one of the best knives in terms of ergo's. Of course very subjective but for my hands the Shaman is great, including the finger choil. I love how it looks and how robust it is. Having said that, I sold mine about a month ago as it wasn't getting a lot of pocket time. I mainly carry mor...

That is a fun detail. Probably it will be either something with the manufactering proces or it could also be an assambly worker putting pride in to his work. ( maybe his employee number ) Old Cars from smaller company's also frequently have hidden messages hidden behind panels where to owner normal...

Re: What are these marks on the inside of the scales?

A bit off topic but I have a Yugoslavian Mauser from 1965 brand new right out of the crate. When I cleaned the cosmoline off, I found some handwriting on the stock and a lot of the wood parts had serial numbers written in pencil. The wood parts had the serial numbers stamped on after but were writt...

Re: What is the single best spyderco configuration you own?

Tough one! The Milie or mPM2 in s90v and CF would be it for me. The Milie is very light (especially for it's size), has excellent balance, strong, rigid, light scales and that excellent s90v blade that keeps an edge for a long time. Probably go for the Milie! https://i.postimg.cc/Rh7pWWwB/20240522-1...
