The Lil Native Wharncliffe I had measured 0.64mm BTE, 3.01mm thick above the Spydiehole and 27.9mm "Tall" near the spydiehole, distal taper obviously improves things closer to the tip. A few points of comparison: Kapara 0.6mm BTE, 2.98mm & 27.7mm (Very similar) Chaparral 0.53mm BTE, 1....

I personally don't use them. I can see how they might be useful to retrieve a knife but I'm yet to experiment with that. I would never use a lanyard to extend the grip area... The Chaparral is one of my favorites. If it is being updated can I suggest removing the jimping? The thin blade of the Chaparral makes it feel more aggressive than other knives and the excellent shape of the handle combined with the intended lighter use of this knife make it unnecessary. I.M.O. the Sharpmaker is only for applying a micro bevel. To do this all it needs is the 40 degree setting (or 30 preferred if the edge is <15dps).
