Re: Chaparral Slipit?

Spyderco coming out with the slipit Chaparral nullifies the Metropolitan and the Chaparral is made in a better factory. I like Taichung knives, while Italy is hit and miss for me.

Re: '' Sal's folder '' is ''revealed'' !!!

The comp lock on that new "burgundy" Millie 2 makes for a strong knife. The steel is interesting. The SPY27 version looks good, also. I hope the exchange rate gets better by the time they are released. Where are you seeing this burgundy M2? Sorry. I can't read. This is what I get for post...

Re: Ways to "Thief Proof" cars?

Learn to drive a vehicle that has a manual transmission (I believe you folks call it stick shift?). It won’t stop the buggers getting in but will likely stop them taking off in it. Don’t advertise your belongings in your vehicle, hide it or take them out when unattended. A thin sheet of glass is th...

Maybe the best way to get enough niacin is through diet.

Re: Family friendly jokes

Proudly showing off his new apartment to a friend late one night, a young man led the way to his bedroom, where there was a big brass gong. “What’s that big brass gong for?” asked the friend. “It’s not a gong. It’s a talking clock,” the drunk replied. “A talking clock? How’s it work?” “Watch,” said ...

Re: Does sunscreen or sunblock help?

Sunscreen prevents cancer. HOWEVER, sunscreen absorbs through the skin and into the blood stream and they don't really know what it does, then.

The closest you will get is a Nishijin Dragonfly. They are a bit rare though.

Re: I love this knife, but wish for Nishijin or kirinite

There is precedent for Kirinite. https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details/C95GITD2/Manix-reg-2-XL-Glow-In-The-Dark-Exclusive/967 I didn't realize that knife had Kirinite scales. Here is black pearl Kirinite. It is hard to photograph, even by the maker (here). It is deep and shifting. https://i.post...

Re: I love this knife, but wish for Nishijin

I believe Sal said they used up their remaining stock of Nishijin with the Stretch 2 XL sprint run. Yes, he did say that, but maybe I can dream and maybe there is enough lying around for such a small project. I don't know if they'll ever make this knife again with any scale material, but it is a da...

Re: Family friendly jokes

I went to the psychiatrist yesterday. She told me I had a split personality and charged me $160.

I gave her $80 and told her to collect the rest from the other guy.

I love this knife, but wish for Nishijin or kirinite

I love this knife. I wish it had nishijin or kirinite scales in black or blue (maybe red). This is the coolest little knife and does most things well. Here it is along with an Italian Delta Spaccanapoli Doria D'Angri fountain pen. https://i.postimg.cc/Wb7YmnPB/IMG-2967.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VkLGK...

Brother John entered the Monastery of Silence and the Chief Priest said: “Brother, this is a silent monastery, you are welcome here as long as you like, but you may not speak until I direct you to do so.” Brother John lived in the monastery for a full year before the Chief Priest said to him: “Broth...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

I used my UKPK to cut some duct tape from around a pipe. It had gotten to be a half inch thick and was no longer doing its job. That UKPK is so sharp it went through that wad of tape like grass through a goose.
