Re: What steels do you have the most of?
My top 5 folding knife steels. My fixed blade knives are all primarily 1095, 1095CV and O1.
Folding knives steel by most abundant in my collection.
1-S30V
2-CTS-XHP
3-CPM-M4
4-M390
5-20CV
Funny thing is, S35VN is about my favorite stainless and I only have three knives in it.

I love my GB2, I just wish someone would do an exclusive in a stainless steel like M390 or 20CV and black smooth g10 or canvas micarta.

Re: Bladehq Sage 5 in M4 and mint green scales
I can not believe that these are still in stock. I just couldn’t resist and ordered another one tonight to have as a backup. Takes away the nervousness of potentially damaging one and not being able to replace it. If you’re on the fence don’t hesitate to get one. The Sage 5 is in my top 3 Spyderco l...

Re: GP Knives Exclusive Para 3 LW: Rex45, White FRN
Got mine in today and like it. In fact I like it so much I ordered another one tonight. Can’t believe they are still in stock but glad they are. I’ve noticed the Para 3 LW releases stay in stock longer. Nice that it’s not a feeding frenzy the first two minutes and half the people that want one windu...

I was amazed that I was still able to snag one @ 7:30 last night. Either it was a big order or not very popular. Either way I’m happy I got one.

Looks like they are in stock @ Knifeworks if anyone's interested: https://knifeworks.com/spyderco-tenacious-lightweight-blue-c122pbl-3-39-cpm-s35vn-satin-plain-blade-frn-handle/ Yep, called to make sure yesterday and they said they would start shipping Friday. Ordered one straight away. One of my m...

Re: MAP pricing policy favors amazon. Bad for vendors (that are not Amazon) and consumers.
I don’t buy knives from Amazon, I buy from dealers or individuals on Bladeforums. Since MAP pricing is the same across the board I do spread my purchases out among the online dealers to help support them all. But for everything else I buy I do price shop between Amazon and other brick and mortar sto...

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
I like the wire clip, that’s what drew me to the Sage series in the first place and it fits real nice in the hand. I have three knives that are my favorite, the Sage models, Para 3 (with Lynch deep carry) and the Benchmade 940. Hoping for a Sage 5 LW in 52100 and K390 in the future as well.

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
OK, random question a buddy just asked me and I’d like to get your opinions on it: Can you swap the Maxamet Sage 1 blade into a Ti Sage 2? There’s obviously never been a need to do so before with both models being the same steel, but now there’s a Maxamet Sage 1, it may open up that possibility. An...

Re: Count the eBay Flips of Seconds...
I missed out on a black g10 PM 2 in s30v by trying to get it and PM 2 in maxamet in my cart at the same time. I did get the maxamet though on the second go around. Really wish I’d got the s30v too though. I’ve decided to wait and catch a used one on the forums or even eBay as long as it’s not a 2nds...

Re: How Do Your Factory Seconds Look?
Got my Para 3 in maxamet in today. Blade centering was way off to the show side but I managed to get it pretty close to centered. The blade centering picture is after I tweaked it. https://i.imgur.com/0V3nfyM.jpg Looks really good. How did you tweak it into position? I loosened the pivot and the bo...

Snagged a Para 2 maxamet today to go with the Para 3 maxamet I snagged yesterday. Mixed out on the Native 5 in maxamet though but oh well. Really excited to get these.

Re: Sage 1 Cool Grey Maxamet
Just ordered mine from Northwestknives. I’m glad it was offered in the Sage line as it’s my favorite and I just wasn’t going to buy a knife I don’t like just to try the maxamet out. Really looking forward to trying it out and seeing for myself if it lives up to the hype.

Re: S35vn on the Tenacious...what does it mean?
There is no doubt in my mind that I will pickup the Tenacious in S35VN, maybe 2. I really hope Spyderco will release these with a black blade too. I didn’t try the Tenacious until I already had a large collection of knives including Delicas, Sage models, Para 3s, Benchmade 940s, a large and small Se...

Just snagged one from Knifeworks. The only sprint run of anything I didn’t have to pay scalper prices. I really hope Spyderco does a light weight Sage 5 in this steel.

Re: Para3 lightweight stiff
I’ve got the plain Para 3 and the serrated version, both are drop shut smooth and almost flick open on their own. But.....I just got the black coated one in last week and it’s stiff. I’m thinking the coating up against the frn is causing some friction. It’s stiff enough that I can’t flick it open an...
