Forever chemicals are just as bad. https://www.nrdc.org/stories/forever-chemicals-called-pfas-show-your-food-clothes-and-home If you think you're safe, have your blood tested. 3M and other companies that make these chemicals have polluted the entire planet. Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

For the past 4 years, 90% of my carry knives have included one or more Spyderco knives. It gets so that it is hard to keep track of them when it comes time to wash clothes and accidentally I put my S90V Native Chief through the wash the other day. No rust yet, but it is nice and clean! Well they di...

When the addition is complete at Spyderco I hope that we see something like this. I'd buy one.

I try and stay away from anything .ru or .cn. I figure if they collect one million ip addresses and the USA has any issues with them, then your system will be one that gets hacked!

Re: Signed up for ChatGPT, GPT-4

I've only used ChatGPT to help with how to reword certain things I've written to come across better, to put on my business website. And I do not use what ChapGPT gives me word-for-word. It gives me ideas on how to phrase things a little better or more efficiently for my business site, and that's al...

YES! And it is a major league hassle. My family may be changing a major bank over this very thing. Sure nobody wants to be a victim of fraud. But with this particular bank, we even called them and said a particular wire transfer was good....we were logged into the online account via a desktop system...

Re: Nutritious safe low carb snacks?

YES! Look for low fat yogurt or Greek Yogurt. I also recommend Amy's Organic Soups and walnuts for snacks. NOTE: Not Annie's Organic Soups but Amy's. No word yet on Amy's soups, but Annie's has been called out for have a high microplastic count. They say to eat organic. They say to eat fresh fruit. ...

In the 70's, 80's, 90's and 00's there were months at a time where I was on ice playing hockey 2 to 3 hours per day. In the offseason I was on ice for just 4 to 5 hours per week, raced bicycles, did martial arts, played tennis and lifted weights. In the mid 80's and 90's there were months where I li...

Re: Is There A Place For The "Rambo" Knife

I have a large Junglass and I might buy an axe, a silky saw or two, and a Magnucut in the 7 to 8 inch range for bushcraft. As far as Rambo knives go, all that I can say is maybe someone can use one but they never seemed well thought out to me. I do not like saws or serrations on knives, which I use ...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?

Hard to keep in competition with fixed blade only companies. This is a fact. Literally anyone can make a fixed blade. They are easier to get right and the fit/finish aspect is mostly just cosmetic. Anyone can make one, but if you've had a bit of training in escrima, arnis or kali there are not a lo...

Re: Is Spyderco missing out on the fixed blade market?

Spyderco has been trying to break into the fixed blade market for years without much luck. Really? Their fixed blades are always outrageously priced. There are at least some entry level options now. But Spyderco tries to charge folder prices for fixed blades. How many knives are you buying that an ...

In heavy, stop and go traffic, pushing in on a heavy clutch repeatedly will wear you out. It was fun when I was young, but nowadays, I want an automatic. The first time I stepped on a 1980 Mazda RX-7 clutch pedal was right after I bought one used. I thought the car was mechanically unsound or damag...
