Re: Mystery Box
Just opened my $250 mystery box. I don't care what they're worth, but I'm happy with what I got. Titanium Cara Cara 2, GITD zome Endura 4, forest green 204p Para 3, and a smooth G10 Cru-Wear Manix 2 XL. I feel like Christmas came early this year.

Re: A full size Native slipjoint?
I'm on the fence about a full size Native slipjoint. I like the idea of it. But I know I rarely carry the slipjoints I already have. I'd also prefer a wire clip though.

That was smooth and completely painless. Huge improvement over the previous sales. Whoever set this all up really did a good job.

Re: So excited for this drop!!!!
The GP Knives site got a little laggy when this one dropped. Not too bad, but still noticable. Hope everyone here that wanted one got one.

Re: How to make the Byrd Tern less stiff in closing?
I don't know how to make it less stiff, but my Tern also closes hard. It's not considerably stiffer than my slipjoint Spyderco models, but it is noticable.

Re: Anyone here collect fountain pens?
I'm not exactly a collector of fountain pens, but I do enjoy using them. Some of the new resin models from Karas Kustoms are nice and their aluminum models are a good edc option.

I'm interested in the chamfered tail idea. If Cliff thinks it works well, I might have to give it a try.

Byrd Comet Hole
I just realized that the comet hole on the Byrds makes me hesitant to carry them over a Spyderco. It looks cool, it's functional, and it's not entirely uncomfortable. It just somehow doesn't quite feel right when opening the knife. So I'm just wondering what others think of the comet shaped hole on ...

Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
Nice points about the design of Spyderco knives. And that round hole is important. The materials and quality of the other Chinese knives might be just as good, but it's the design of a Spyderco that keeps me from buying those other knives.

Re: Where does the Tenacious stand at 15 years old?
I don't think it's fair to consider the Tenacious or any of Spyderco's Chinese made knives to be budget knives anymore. Whether anyone likes it or not, China's manufacturing has advanced so much in the last ten or so years. So, for me, the real question is: how do the Chinese knives stack up against...

Re: Spyderco Online Factory Seconds Sale!
Got to the premium mystery box... clicked Add to Cart and nothing. Did it again... not sure if it is loading or I added two... no idea. Don't want to reload as it took 30 minutes for the page to come up in the first place. Don't worry about ordering two. It only allows you to get one. It'll adjust ...

My kid's favorite is his Para 3 lightweight. He's got a handful of Spyderco and Byrd knives, but that one is almost always his first choice.

Re: product idea: Spyderco folding wood saw
Why would Spyderco make a saw when you can just buy a Silky? Why would Spyderco make a knife when you can just buy a Buck 110? They need to stick to knife sharpeners... Seriously though, I'd bet even money that Spyderco COULD develop a saw that's as good as what's currently on the market. But it wou...

That headline probably gets more clicks from normal people than "Lucky soldier carries a Spyderco." Not from people like us, but from most people.

Re: Will Endura 4 be back in G10 one day?
Does anyone remember what the price was originally on the G10 Delica from St Nick's? I know that was expensive enough that it was a slow seller and had to be discounted multiple times. I'd imagine an Endura would be priced in such a way that it would be a similarly slow seller.

Re: Massad Ayoob II Model Maybe?
I've been a fan of Massad Ayoob for longer than I've known what a Spyderco is. I'd rather see him design an entirely new model than tweak his existing design, but I'd buy whatever he'd come up with. The recent sprint run is an amazing knife. I'm sure in the years since designing that model, he's had...

Re: New knife request
I carry the Tatanka on occasion, but that's an awful lot of knife with a 5-ish inch blade. The shape of the Yojumbo takes up a lot of pocket space already. I don't think I'd carry a bigger version of it, and I usually advocate for more 5 inch blades.

Re: Seconds sale 2022
Honestly, I think this went much better than the last online seconds sale. The site was still quite a bit slow, but it just isn't made to handle that kind of traffic. They didn't have to do this at all so I'm just going to be grateful for the opportunity to pick up a couple more knives.

I'm sure that Sal has reasons for choosing to run his business as he does. He's been doing it successfully for quite some time. I'm not going to question his decisions.

Re: Sal, the most iconic Spyderco folder deserves a sprint !
I didn't realize the original Police was going to screw construction. I've wanted an SS Police for years but always put it off because it was pinned. Looks like I've got another one to add to my wish list.
