Re: Build your own dream Spyderco
I think I am 100% satisfied with the GB2, Chaparral 1, Draginfly 2, Mantra 1 and Watu. But for fun, if I could have anything, these would be nice: Dragonfly made in taiwan with partial liners GB air with a pocket clip or an improved detent Phil Wilson Sprig in K390 or M4 Serrated watu, Mantra 1 and ...

Re: Sprig Re-run
S90 is a long way from LC or Magnacut in edge retention. Also, the current Phil Wilson design (Bow River) is being made in China, and frankly is selling well due to the cost factor. Are you thinking to make it with the original maker in Taichung? or in China? If we made it in China, the exotic stee...

Very cool to hear your personal experiences. I have had a superblue petty on my list for a long-time. I'll eventually have to pick one up

Re: Has any knife made you stop buying knives?
I honestly could be happy for the rest of my life with just the GB2, Chaparral 1 and Dragonfly salt se. But I still buy and sell knives on occasion for fun and to try different designs. Most recently the Watu

Re: If model _____ had been ___ it would have been perfect
If the Gayle Bradley 2 had any detent at all to speak of, it would have been perfect. +1 I make due as I'm not too worried when its clipped to the back of my pocket. The GB Air on the other hand also had no detent and no clip, so it was scary/uncomfortable to carry in pocket. The GB Air would have ...

Re: My First Spyderco made in Taiwan
My most recent EDC has been the Para 3 ...with the Native 5 as the number 2 EDC. Well, that changed today. To me, that Sage 5 LW is very similar to the Para 3 in Size and with the same Compression Lock - which is my favorite. But for some reason, given my hand size/shape - I find the Sage easier to...

Re: boomerang buys?
I did this twice with the Superblue delica. End result, it became my most carried knife for multiple years Also did this with the gayle bradley air. Purchase and sold it three times. Such a great knife on paper, but the lack of a pocket clip and the VERY weak detent made it uncomfortable to carry. W...

Re: Favorite Lock?
Comp lock for larger knives and backlock for smaller knives.
I like the self close of lock backs for knives I dont always use a clip for.
But honestly, locks take a back seat to the overall design of the knife. It's far down the list when I make a decision on whether to buy a knife or not
