Thanks Kardinal, if i don't that will be fine. I don't have any sprints at this time and i have really been eyeing the Massad Ayoob as maybe my next purchase ? And Jack, i'm glad that made sense to you, i knew i would probably get blasted for making a comparsion between the Chaparral and the Sage 1....

If nothing else having 10 Spydercos makes you very aware of most of their line. So until they come up with your dream knife I think you should get a Sage4. Your desire for G-10 doesn't scream "pretty" knife. I think the Sage4 is a beautiful knife but doesn't scream "display" bea...

Milestone reached.

Owner of 10 Spydercos now !! Actually received #s 9 and 10 at the same time. A Chaparral and a Superleaf and i really really love them both. So now that i'm a PRO, i know what would be MY dream knife. A Native 5 sized (6 3/4 to 6 7/8) knife with a FFG 3mm M4 blade with black G-10 scales and compress...

"GASP". Can't believe you blasphemed the GB. May the knife gods and the man himself (Gayle Bradley) forgive you. :D Just kidding. It's great to get a knife to feel like that. Glad the Chaparral cleaned out fast also. That is a great EDC knif IMO. Except for one thing. The blade is t...

Have you open/closed the Chaparral A LOT? I did mine and the grittyness which was bad is completely gone. I mean I played with it when watching TV, walking dog, sex, anything that didn't require much concentration. I don't know what was causing it but I've thought the pins on the tang that ride in ...

It's 8:12 here in NC and i just received mine at 6:00pm so all i have done is look it over good and play with it. It looks perfect to me, a really well built knife. Fit and finish are excellent. I'm pretty sure i got the last one the Cutlery Shoppe had because i called before i ordered to make sure ...

Thanks everyone, went with the Manix

$145.00 for a G-10 Dragonfly and a Manix 2 AND free shipping from the Cutlery Shoppe was a no brainer !! I had also added the Native 5 to my list but i think it has moved to the back of the must have line. Thanks again to everyone again who replied to my Superleaf or Manix 2 thread. So, next in line...

I couldn't agree more. I own 7 Manix 2 blades and it is by far my favorite, however the first time I held that Superleaf . . . all I could say was WOW. They both make a great choice for E DC or defensive tactical. I suggest going to see Jeff at cutlery shManixoppe. He has the best service of any sp...

I own, and use both. It's a hard choice for sure; but one that you really can't go wrong with. If they were both 154CM, I'd say Superleaf since 154 is such a great steel (not the VG-10 isn't, , ,I just much prefer 154CM). Since that isn't the case, I'd lean ever so slightly towards the Manix, but i...

Thanks everyone......never considered the Gayle Bradley. Spyderkoholic, you are probably right about buying both but as i said before i am definitely getting the Dragonfly G10 first and a larger knife second. As a whole it looks like more prefer the Manix. I'm sure i cant go wrong either way ! Going...

Everything.....and i'm sure both will do whatever i ask within reason. I'm really
just wanting to purchase a new knife and it came down to those two. Will
probably be carried several times a week.

Superleaf or Manix2 ?

Hello New member here, i have 3 spydercos, a Cricket, Wegner Jr, and a older Para Military. Hopefully in the next week or two i'm going to order 2 new ones. I am definitely going to order a foliage green Dragonfly g-10 but can't decide if i want a Superleaf or Manix 2. I love the compression lock on...
