Models With Open Back Construction
I'm looking for a knife for around the lake. I use to have a Delica for that task and loved it, except sand did build up a little inside the handle...I never had a rust issue so A H1 blade isnt necessary. Are there any open back spydies with the frn/me scales? Any other recommendations? Not looking for a super expensive blade, it's only going to be used a few times a year.

Tenacious. It's about the same size, open backed, inexpensive.

There was a good conversation on here about the Cat. Might be on the small side, but I hear BD-1 is corrosion resistant.

Re: Models With Open Back Construction
The only FRN model with open back construction (that I'm aware of) is the UK Penknife LW, and only about 1/3 of the back is open toward the end of the handle.
