That’s a nice pair!

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
Thank you, @spyderg! It looks awesome clip mounted left. And the engraving is a nice touch too. :D

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
No problem. I am really happy with how the engraving came out, I found the Ukrainian embroidery pattern and added a Spyderco bug into it with my limited “photoshop” skills. I took it into a local shop that does laser engraving and it turned out amazing. Adds a little very welcomed grip too.

Yeah it looks "out of the factory" done! I'm just happy that the Swayback is very-lefty friendly as per your PM. And a left mounted clip doesn't look out of place either, as long as it isn't the stock spoon clip. I just need to find a good replacement clip, looking at options out there. :)

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
The stock clip is really good, and on most knives I actually prefer it to the deep carry clips. But aesthetically on the Swayback I prefer the Lynch. Ordered mine from DLT.

I love your photography so much that I post them on the Spyderco Fanclub France on Facebook !! :-)
Great picture and great knife in the outdoors.
(I have also bump on our "optimistic" German friend on the other thread... who seems to love to p1ss on any parade.

A forum is where people express their own different personal opinions, so excuse me for enjoying p1ssing on your parade :D

In the end even the handles may indeed feel different over there, they may get rounded more due to your specific Parisian atmosphere or even based on the exact GPS coordinates for your location.
I can accept that as well, so go on with your parades or whatever you think that is :D

I think the clip was okay, but I think the wire clip would be ideal as well. I had a titanium deep carry clip for my Native and decided to mount it to my Swayback. I think its much better now.
Good job Spyderco, and great design Mr. Slysz.
I can't believe I just only noticed the Schrute farms background. I think Dwight would love this knife. Perfektenschlag! LOL. :D
On a more serious note, what clip are you using?

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
Decided to get it out and give it another whirl. I tried what Nemo said and was pleasantly surprised.
Just moving my index finger onto the pivot, made it open much nicer. Still wish it was a bit smaller.
But, it may actually see some use now.
Edit: Dang XHP is not very stainless. I'm going to have to put a desiccant packet in with it.

That clip looks great on your Swayback. Is that a 3-hole from Razor Edge?Sumdumguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 5:32 pmDecided to get it out and give it another whirl. I tried what Nemo said and was pleasantly surprised.

Nope, the mountains of Georgia. I had it put up in the pouch for the past few months and when I took it out, the edge had quite a few orange speckles on it.
Nothing major. But, I will definitely add a desiccant pack to it when it gets put up.
Yes it is. Modified to fit the curve. The original clip was unacceptable to my eye. I bought the clip before I bought the knife, haha.BG-ThatsMe wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 5:54 pmThat clip looks great on your Swayback. Did the screw pattern fit, and you just removed material at the base to fit the curve of the handle?Sumdumguy wrote: ↑Fri Nov 27, 2020 8:12 pmNope, the mountains of Georgia. I had it put up in the pouch for the past few months and when I took it out, the edge had quite a few orange speckles on it.

Re: Swayback Lookout Thread
Josh modifies them to fit the knife.
The screw pattern isn't 100% perfect, it's made for a PM2 and then modified to the curve of the Swayback.
It works, you just have to slowly screw it on, alternating between screws until it seats. Once it's on, it's rock solid.
