Domino, 204p flavor. Always a pleasure to carry.

Calipers confirm it's only 0.007" thinner than a Manix 2 but it's always felt like a more significant difference.

Probably one of my favorites today the Wegner.

Image
One of my Spyderco regrets is never picking up a Wegner. For several years I carried the C15 Bob Terzuola (below, top) as my primary hunting knife, and never felt undergunned with its 3 3/8" blade. When the C48 Tim Wegner was released, I saw it as an improvement over my Terzuola but, by that time, my hunting knife philosophy had changed to the extent that neither really fit my preferences.

Still, years later I saw the BladeTech Pro Hunter (a Wegner company and Wegner design) at a gun show, and couldn't resist. A few changes to Wegner's Spydie include S30V vs ATS-34, choke-up jimping, a more neutral handle, a finger choil, 4-position clip, screws vs pins and, of course, a non-round hole. Whether these are improvements or not is a matter of opinion but, in any case, the overall design of both the C48 and the Pro Hunter is the best of any folding hunter I've ever held in my hands.

That certainly looks like I'd end up enjoying it, too.

Looks so much like a Siren Lightweight in some ways. Wonder if Lance ever carried one of these before making his design?

They definitely do bear a strong resemblance. I prefer the grip on the Goddard, but that's not to say I wouldn't be down for a Siren lightweight.

I’d like to see a handle forward Goddard, I love the blade shape!
