It's the Spyderco forum, so I knew what this thread wouldn't be. For some reason I expected sheaths, but that would have been silly. Customized trucks are cool. Seeing always makes to want to go down the rabbit hole.

Ill get a picture of my beater eventually. Nothing fancy. It’s a 2006 double cab tundra with dirty deeds injectors and a single in dual out magnaflow.

I don’t do car payments, i buy whatever rolls in the shop that needs an engine/transmission/whatever for cheap and make it run. Id rather spend car payment money on knives :rofl The other whip is a 2002 Lexus LS430

Nice Dan! I've got the Carven Progressive muffler on my Ram and it sounds amazing! 4 winters up here, which are brutal like yours and still in great shape underneath.

I like it ordered directly from Carven . Cruising no cab noise and not bad in town . Hills and heavy throttle the Carven will bark . Sounds good but can’t make a V6 sound as nice as your Ram . Dan

I have a K&N "like" filter. I really like the TRD cold air intake mod kit. It is way overpriced, but it does look KOOL!

I think I had to take the brackets off. It does push it out and leaves a bit of a gap. There may be a better way to do it by modding it. It goes behind the tonneau brackets and leaves a little gap from the side rails. I just added a little clear silicone in between the gap and it stays dry.

I drove a 75 Series Toyota Cruiser for over ten years. She was a lovely old truck. The first of the 1HZ engines and I can’t believe I let her go the way I did.

The only photo I have of my old truck (parked across the street from our place).

Image

One of my Dad’s old mates go crook and couldn’t drive anymore. I went to see him with my Dad and he offered me his vehicle (2002 Toyota Camry with 59,000km on the clock) I wouldn’t take it for nothing like he wanted and he begrudgingly took $2,000.

It was the middle of summer so I started driving the Camry to work because the Cruiser didn’t have air con, something that had never bothered me before.

One day, I noticed a note under the Cruiser’s wiper blade. It read, I’d like to buy your truck with a phone number. The rest is history.

I don’t know why I sold my truck. When it drove out of our driveway down the street I knew I’d made a terrible mistake and actually felt nauseous. I never loose sleep about anything but it took many months to finally let go and to this day I’m still kicking myself and missing my old truck.

That's a really cool truck Bloke. That flat bed is awesome. I let my first Taco go when I didn't want to and regretted it for a long time. Finally came back around to one. Still regret letting the first one go.

Hey Jeff, she was a bit of a head turner. They’re popular and sort after here but most clowns put bull bars on them and go with the cowboy BS look.

Apart from being mechanical A1 she’d been re upholstered, had an Italian wooden steering wheel, fibreglass flared guards, 10” chrome wheels, chrome blinker (indicator) assembly, chrome bumper, chrome fuel cap …

This is the type of toyota my grandfather had. Not an actual pic of it tho. He had a hay spike on the back and I used to love pressing the button on the remote to lower or raise the spike up when i was a little kid.

Hey Shan, I s’pose with all the flash US made trucks an old Cruiser would be a rarity over there.

I used to do all my own maintenance and services on the old truck. They’re pretty easy to work on as you’d know.

A couple of year before I sold it I replace the entire brake system, booster, master cylinder, rotors and callipers (front), drums (rear), balancing valve, flex lines … the only thing I didn’t change out were the solid lines. Ah, hahaha!

I miss my old truck!

The ol rhino chasers aren’t bad, just dirty. There’s an engine out of an 87 fj60 right now, made it over 400,000 miles. There’s a Fj 70, a few right hand drive diesel vans and some others around too…

I really like that bed ! Did you make it or aftermarket ? I also had a 1994 4x4 Extended cab before the Tacoma came out . Still my favorite truck, V6 3.0 , 5spd with 5.36 gears , and 31inch tires , all standard . I will look for pics . Thanks Bloke ! Dan
