Mine used to and I wasn't a fan of how the polished bolsters picked up scratches, and then I gutted a deer with it and wasn't a fan of how slick it was.

So I took the scales and bolsters off and stonewashed them and now it's better in both those regards.

The original inspiration was actually a post on Bladeforums where someone had a set of green micarta scales made, sandblasted the bolsters, and I want to say also acid etched the blade (can't remember exact build or poster, sorry). That one looked sick but I didn't have the money or skill to get mine there, so the tumbler sufficed.

Buy a Rockjumper. You can still find them on sale at some sites and they have been discontinued. Doesn’t that qualify? If not I’m in the same boat as you.
