If not a Spyderco, then I'm most likely to have ain my pocket a Microtech Ultratech, UTX-85, or lately an MSI--that's their new manual design with the RAM-Lok mechanism, the Microtech version of, and improvement over, the Axis lock. I also have a couple Kizers that I'm fond of, a small Sabenza that gets a fair share of pocket time, a Pro-Tech Magic that I carry as a sort of safety knife when I'm going to be with little kids, and until recently, I might have been found carrying one of the users from my decent-sized ZT collection. But after a recent experience with their customer service personnel I'm done giving ZT and probably Kershaw too any of my money or time. I figure why mess around with a knife company that's treated me poorly despite owning thousands of dollars worth of their products when I cam just as easily spend my money buying more Spydercos?

I'm carrying my Skallywag Privateer for work now. I was using my Blur as a screwdriver and snapped the tip off.

Grease and dirt? Starting to rain? Time to pull out the GEC Northfield Un-X-Ld 735208 Trapper in Almond Bone. Great feel, high spring tension, good working knife.
🙂

Beautiful!

I recently bought a GEC #23 Pioneer Trapper, the larger version of the #73, in what they call "woodland micarta". Still waiting for it to make the trip to the other side of the planet... I'll post a picture hopefully by next weekend.
That will be a great user. Enjoy.
Pioneer Trapper arrived! It's a big boy...

It has the pull weight and closing snap of a serious user. It will likely lop a finger off if you are not paying attention!
