Neon orange is just a can of Krylon away!
Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I’d really love to see some existing models in the Byrd or Spyderco value series be offered in 9Cr18Mov. I really like the steel in my usage, and I’d think it’s readily available in China.

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I think that was done on one model as sort of a test run. The Catbyrd, maybe? I don't know what ever came of that though.
Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I'd prefer to see more BD1, BDZ1, and especially BDN1 on budget knives.
Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I want a Byrd (or Spyderco Value Line) RIL (framelock). CRKT has done quite well with the Voxnaes designed Pilar family. The CRKT Burnley Squid, though I personally don't care for it, is still a top 20 seller in pocket knives on Amazon. The Pilar is a very Spyderco-esque design to my eye and hand. I think a Byrd RIL could sell well, if it's a good design that's well executed.

What about a Byrd version of the Spyderco Catcherman? Maybe give it a cool name like the Kingfisher? I think fishermen would love a cost effective option to go fishing with other then Rapala

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I'd like to see more CTS-BD1, and more knives coming from the factory that makes the Crow 2/Raven 2, as the work I've seen from this factory has been excellent.
Specifically, I'd like a third knife in the Crow/Raven line: something about the size of the Military or a little smaller.
A big, budget liner lock with choil and CTS-BD1 would really stand out, as there is nothing quite like that in either the Byrd or Spyderco lineups.
A fixed blade in BD1 would be cool too.

I would buy this immediately!DOUBLE D wrote: ↑Sun Dec 16, 2018 3:15 amWow this is nice. Byrd knives have their unique place as the potential gateway Spyderco knife. I've never wanted to spend the money on a Spyderco wharncliffe, not knowing if I'd like it, because I definitely wasn't a fan of the look of it. However, for $20-25, I'd love to try it as see what all the hoopla is about this blade shape. But then I might be hooked, and end up buying $100 hap40 wharncliffe models etc lol. Maybe Spyderco better not come out with this after all.

Personally, I'd like to see a waved Meadowlark. Currently, I believe that the Endura-sized Cara Cara is the only waved Byrd knife.
In my opinion, the Delica size range is ideal for EDC, especially in jurisdictions where blade length is an issue. A waved Meadowlark would cover that niche.
A waved Robin might be a good choice for those in really restrictive jurisdictions, such as Chicago.

I guess we're waiting to see reaction on the CaraCara with the Emerson opener before branching out.

Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I would love to see an updated ByrdRench...or even a re-release of the original.
Re: What would you like to see next from Byrd?
I would actually also like the screws and clips to be made the same as spydercos. I don't think this would be a bad thing for the brand and could help for folks who use aftermarket clips etc. I recently picked up another byrd and was disappointed that I could NOT use some of the aftermarket Spyderco clips I have.

Could we get the Meadowlark with Wharncliffe and Emerson wave?

I'd like to see a re-release of the Wings Slipit, maybe with a different color G-10 or something to distinguish it from the first run.

Maybe he's referring to knife laws in Hong Kong?
