These are all the knives I use in the kitchen. The top three (non-serrated) see the most use:

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!
I've been enjoying my Alox Farmer for a couple years now and finally got an Alox Farmer X to compare to my historically favorite 4 spring SAK, the Huntsman.
I prefer the Alox scales, but also appreciate the toothpick and tweezers. I don't think the cellidor scales of the Huntsman will ever bother me enough of to change them to micarta.
You may notice a theme... I like SAKs with saws.
I have a classic and an Alox money clip too, but they don't get carried as much.

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!
I think overall, my toothpick is my number 1 used tool, and my tweezers are my #2. Perhaps if I wasn't carrying a Spyderco every day, I would use the knife blades more often. I love the Alox scales, but wouldn't want to do without my favorite tools.Enactive wrote: ↑Sat Nov 26, 2022 12:27 pmI've been enjoying my Alox Farmer for a couple years now and finally got an Alox Farmer X to compare to my historically favorite 4 spring SAK, the Huntsman.

I sure like the micarta scales on my huntsman, but not enough to instantly buy another set for my Spartan. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock scales (unless you melt them with hydraulic fluid).
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Re: Victorinox photo and discussion thread!
I've owned and used Swiss Army Knives ever since my grandmother bought me a Victorinox Camper when I was 14. Over three decades later, SAKs continue to be a personal favorite.
I've been carrying this Vic Climber for a few years now. I bought it with the Stay Glow scales because they don't easily scratch. However, I've been pleasantly surprised by the benefit of having a knife that glows in the dark, which makes it very easy to find.
