I've owned quite a few knives but never any from Sanford Custom Knives.

I lost $300 after I attempted to buy a knife from Attn2Detail. I begged the proprietor to give me my money back...and he just ignores me.

I recommend BRT Bladeworks for custom work.

Regarding online fraud, I've heard a suggestion to report the crime to the FBI:

Perhaps the threat of being reported to the FBI will make the scammer refund. Hope it helps!

dsvirsky how do you check for that on google?

I searched for the name of the business and did some reading. Found a Reddit thread where one poster claimed he was the original owner of Sanford Custom Knives, but never had a website and only sold his own custom made knives. He said a scammer stole his photos and information and set up the website. Another poster pointed out that the website claimed to have a hot Microtech model in stock (the actual topic under discussion), but wasn't an authorized Microtech dealer, which was a sure sign that it was a scam.

Yep - what dsvirsky says. The legit Sanford Custom Knives has been very vocal about how he's not associated with that website and that they are a scam.
