Beware fake online knife shops selling Spyderco etc!

A place to list and reference all Spyderco counterfeits, clones, and replicas that are found. Anything that isn't a legitimate Spyderco fits in this area.

Beware fake online knife shops selling Spyderco etc!

Post by SpyderEdgeForever »

I am reposting this here:

Are any of you aware of this disgusting scam? I clicked on an alleged online knife shop ad when I was doing a web search for Spyderco knives and other brands, and this comes up:

https://www.knifestore01.shop/product/s ... t-on-sale/

From their ad:

" Spyderco Endura 4 Lockback Serrated 3.75 Inch Black Hot on Sale

$114.00 $45.60
Spyderco Endura 4 Lockback Serrated 3.75 Inch Black Hot on Sale quantity
"

This has got to be a fake. There is no way a legitimate company has a new genuine Spyderco Endura for that price.

I heard some of these thieves are based in China and Russia and elsewhere. There is one that uses the country code .ru infact

Here is a warning from an online anti virus anti malware site about these:

https://malwaretips.com/blogs/shopsonli ... 23sale-ru/

From the article:

"Shopsonline.clearance2023sale.ru is a fraudulent online store that you should avoid at all costs. This scam website claims to sell various products at very low prices, but will either send you counterfeit or inferior goods, or nothing at all.

This article will uncover how the Shopsonline.clearance2023sale.ru scam operates, red flags to watch for, and most importantly, tips to protect yourself from being ripped off by this scam site and others like it."

Until I heard and read about this I had no idea that they went to this extreme!

"Once victims place orders and submit payment information, the scammers simply take the money and run. Customers are left with one of the following outcomes:

Nothing at all – The most common outcome. Orders go unfulfilled and simply disappear after payments are processed.
Knock-off or inferior substitutes – Victims may receive cheap replicas made with poor-quality materials that do not match the original product descriptions.
Used, damaged, or tampered goods – In some cases, victims report receiving items that are clearly used, broken, or otherwise tampered with, showing that no new products are being shipped.
Completely wrong items – Some orders arrive with products that are completely different from what was ordered, demonstrating no order accuracy."

BEWARE FRIENDS! This is horrible.

This is what jumped out at me:

"Look for Overly Good-to-Be-True Deals

Scam websites lure customers by advertising extravagant discounts of 50-90% off or deals well below market prices. Real businesses cannot sustain such heavy losses. If the deal looks too good to be true, it likely is."

An new Endura for 45 dollars from a knife shop? No Way.

Here are LEGITIMATE online knife stores most of you are familiar with:
