Aloha and happy new year all!
I just got this South Summit catalog in the mail the other day, and they sell a lotta things including knives...
On the knife pages, there was of course the legendary Spyders, i.e. Delica, Endura, Native...as I looked at the "other Guys" knives, all of them just failed to meet up to Spyderco! All these flashy handles w/ slots, assisted openers w/ some names that sounded better than the ergos of the same knife, colors, sharp handles, you name it...
The funny thing is, they were all "off shoots" of each others knives! They all practically looked something like each others, and they're all made by different companies!
They just could not compare to the unique yet practical, simple approach that the Spyders exhibited. Hence Spyderco's rank in the knife industry...
