Hi, I've been working on the list and included more SKU's (mini mariner / experimental kitchen knives) with pictures. I'm however still missing info on the following:

K10 - Kitchen knife - Kosher Butcher knife according to Spyderco Story book - anyone got a pic?

KX01 - Experimental Kitchen knife - Japanese style - anyone got a pic?

KX02 - Experimental Kitchen knife - Japanese style - anyone got a pic?

KX03 - Experimental Kitchen knife - ???? - info/pic?

CX03 - Experimental 3 - was it an SS Calypso Jr.?

CX04 - Experimental 4 - I think this was a Micarta Calypso Jr. right?

CX05 - Can't find anything on this one... It probably exists because there is also an CX06 (Alu Michal Walker)

Found it - see later post

Thanks,

Ted

Ted,

Can't help much, but my box for PE Micatra Calypso Jr. says CX03, so maybe the 04 is SS model. My Alu Walker box says CX06, so you're right.
01- Pegasus
02- Nav
03- Calyps Micarta
04- Calyps SS
06- Walker
Can't find any reference to 05.

Ted,

My records show the CX05 as the Stainless Dragonfly. Made with serrated and plain blade variations. The CX03 was the Calypso Micarta and the CX04 was the Stainless. Again, both had plain and serrated types.

Rawd, indeed. I just came across page 248 in the Spyderco story book 2 minutes ago where they are shown in an advertisement.

Thanks,
Ted

Ted,

This is shaping up pretty good! Great work! More info inbound. Take a well deserved break and catch up on the latest humor over from the Goncz Show over at the Good the Bad and the Ugly on BFC.

Stay safe! Stay sharp!

Ted,

I would like to elaborate on Swede's data and offer some more info from my records.

CX01 became C61 Pegasus SS
CX02 became C62 Navigator G-10
CX03 became Dragnet Micarta, now Jr Calypso C52BM
CX04 became Dragnet SS, now Jr Calypso C52
CX05 I have no data
CX06 I have no data
C21BK Merlin became C08BK
C33BK Pro-Grip became C13BK
C37BK Walker became C22BK
C43 Delica II became C11 SS
C47 Endura II became C10 SS

Hopefully this helps some. My data comes from my "distributor purchasing" records and I feel it is fairly accurate but no guarantees.

I never ordered the KX kithchen knives so I have no data on them. I do have two unmarked samples that may be them but I am not sure. If you would like pictures let me know.

Good luck - you are doing a nice job on a tough subject.

Ted,

After thinking about it I may have the CX05 solution. Spyderco did a prototype smaller Co-Pilot. It was never cataloged and never produced. I have the prototype. Could this be the elusive CX05?

Maybe Sal can help on this one.

John, thanks for 'Dragnet' I hadn't heard/seen that word in the books.
I found on page 248 of the Spyderco book that

CX05 = SS Dragonfly
CX06 = Alu Michael Walker

Ted,
Thanks for the update.
So - when all else fails, look in the book.

I didn't think the prototype I have was ever close enough to even get a CX number.
