Not content to leave well enough alone, I decided to experiment with my everyday carry knife, the Dodo. This is just a Photoshop exercise, so don't start calling the factory for availability. It wouldn't be that hard to make though. Thoughts?

How about a real double bladed model?

I noticed there's a problem with double bladed spydies. Normally, you use only one blade at a time, so the other one is closed. Well, the hump of the closed blade is quite uncomfortable to your hand in the case of longer cutting tasks.

As with the Double-Civilian, this would be more of a diplay-piece. I can't honestly think that someone would use one as an EDC. Not that you couldn't make it a user. The Dodo allows for a very natural bend of the arm which directs the blade forward. This would put the second blade back by the wrist.

In response to an email, I used Photoshop 7.0. It is a lot easier than buying slabs of G-10 and doing it the old-fashioned way. Kind of like a virtual knife shop.

Guys as for the Double Civilian , I handled this yrs ago when Paul Tsugis displayed it at a NYC knife show it was pretty comfortable with both blades open.
