What knife??????

I have ample money to spend on a new knife($200), and would like to get a spyderco, but don't know what to get. I would like to have a 3.75 inch blade with a G-10 handle. I was looking at the Bob Terzuola Starmate, but before I invest the money in a spyderco, I would like some of your opinions.



What is the most reliable, strongest, long lasting, tactical folder that I can get?

I was going to buy the &quot;Starmate&quot; knife yesterday, but when I saw this forum I just had to start reading of what others' experianced. Since I heard little to nothing on the Starmate knife, I said &quot;Oh Well&quot; and started looking at other knives.

I DO like how the starmate looks though.

than STARMATE is the right choice.

1. nearest factory product to custom knife
2. amongst the thickest blade in spyderco range of product
3. design wise nearest to TACTICAL blade

The Starmate is a beautiful knife and that is reason enough to get one! I generally carry my Military as it is lighter, but for serious tactical work, the Civilian might be the winner. Properly used, the Civilian can be used to control an attacker. Be aware that you're in for a heap of trouble anytime you use a knife on another human being. Avoid the situation if you can!

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

I would never think of pulling a knife on someone, but why isn't the starmate able to control an attacker? Isn't it big enough???

You might want to await
the arrival of the Spyderco &quot;Vesuvius&quot;; it
has this new &quot;compression lock&quot; that is as
smooth as a liner lock and &quot;lock tight&quot; as
a lockback. I'm told they should be availible
in April or May. I just don't know the price.
