Well, I took everyone's advice and persevered in sharpening my Native. After more careful work and patience I finally managed to hone a satisfactory edge on it. And, I managed to restore the tip to a sharp point after blunting it in my ealier attemps at re-sharpening with the C-204.

congratulations. There is a learning curve to sharpening. very abrasive resistant steels often make this learning curve difficult because they take longer to shape.
