I have both a PE and CE CII, but only the CE has what I think is a S/N on the blade (&quot;043V&quot<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>. Is that in fact a serial number, and if so, why the inconsistency?

Somehow, my closing parenthesis became a winking smiley. Not what I intended -- so please take me seriously!

That is a collector #.The first 200 are #ed for the collectors club. The V means it is a varriant, ussally if it is anything differant from the production model it is a varriant.ie if the regular production model is SE then a PE would be the varriant. So the collector would get the SE #ed 043 and the PE #ed 043V.

I was told by none other than Sal himself that the chinook II would be available in november of 03. I have yet to find one. Could you please tell me where you found yours?

They are readily available, I ordered one through my local distributor for the store and got it in about two weeks. Am waiting now for two more because I liked the first one so much.
