I saw a note at one of the knife retailers online suggesting that the SpyderWrench is now discontinued. Is this true? Was it a matter of high production costs? Just curious since it was a great tool.

I seem to remeber reading somewhere (BladeForums?) that the design was beign re-worked, and would be re-released. Sorry, I'm not more help...

Spyderwa,
I received the following message from Olive at <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> Spyderco <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> in early December '03 in reply to my inquiry about the Spyderench.
Hello Jaxon,
This is Olive, Sal’s assistant here at Spyderco. Thanks for your interest in the SpydeRench. We shelved the SpydeRench until we could solve production issues. We are working with other vendors and hope to reintroduce the SpydeRench sometime in 2004 if all goes well.

Ah, there is hope. I'd feared it was gone for good.

I was wondering this myself. I wanted to purchase one but everyone seems to be scrounging around for them for outragous prices. I think I will wait for reintroduction
