A new entry into the House O' Spyders, an act of extreme kindness from my friend Jurphaas. I have a review of the Klotzli Wimpff in G-10. Check it out here.
Thanks again Jur!

Rorschach - Your pictures are excellent as usual. Your website is always fun and informative to peruse. It's hard to find such high resolution pictures on the web. Thank you.

Rorschach - It was entirely my pleasure to send you this knife. It is good to know you like it. Thanks for the posting. In the US it must be a very rare knife. I know that A.G. Russell offered some of the Klötzli knives for a while. This Christian Wimmpf chap is the German equivalent of the most fantastic US custom maker; Michael Walker, who is a wizzard in his own right. Christian has also served as the chairman of the German "Messermacher Gilde" (the German knifemakers Guild). He knows his trade and makes very, very beautiful investment grade folders. He is top notch!
Have fun with the knife and be prepared to be amazed by 440C. It is my steel of choice and forget about all the buzz over High speed wonder steels like VG-10 and such. 15 years ago the custom makers used ATS 34 and it's US equivalent 154CM made famous by Bob Loveless. Now they pull their noses.....There has always been a "most favored" steel and it will always change. 440C however is very very good and highly corrotion resistant. Now, that is an excellent property for steel in sports knives!!!
Have a good one and be good!
Jur.
