Does anyone know if there was a Bob Lum folder with a handle made of aluminum? I thought there was only the G-10 and titanium.

The Chinese folders are aluminium.
There is also the Seki-Cut Bob Lum Encounter folder with aluminum handle and D2 steel. IMO the G10 handles (especially the SC-103 that hints of the co Viele Micarta scales) are sweet looking knives. There is also a tactical all black version with coated blade that includes the maker's han, signature, etched in the steel. The silver han sets off the all black knife beautifully.

I was looking at to replace my lost bob lum tanto folder G-10 black with the titanium one. However, the website that I was looking to purchase the knife from said in the description that the handle was made out of T6 aluminum. I thought the knife was only made with titanium or G-10 handles. Sounds like the website had trouble telling aluminum and titanium apart. Thanks too all that replied.

When talking to John here: http://www.johnfjensen.com/spyderco.html
I asked him about the handle material on the PE Blk bladed tanto that he had and he confirmed it was FRN. I ended up ordering the 60-40 blk bladed one with the G-10 handle.

I carry the Lum VG10 with g10 handle and love it. Take care.
I'd rather be tried by 12, than carried by 6

I think a Lum with FRN handle would be a collector's item. Grab it up fast!
