I thought nothing of it until I read all the comments about them...
I purchased an almite cricket about 2 weeks ago, and the liner-lock goes all the way to the other side when it locks.
Should it stop about 1/2 way, or is this normal? All 4 crickets I looked at went all the way across.
It's cool... don't forget that the cricket is kinda light duty. Plus, the liner couldn't slip between the blade and the opposite scale anyway. The blade being quite thin, it would be tough to get a liner to stop half-way.
If there's no blade play, use and enjoy...

There's no particular place the liner should be. The liner lock is made with the intention that as the lock wears, it moves further to the right. This self-adjustment for wear is a nice feature of the liner lock. HOwever, once the lock goes all the way to the right, there's no more room for wear. Once the stop pin or liner leaf wears the tiniest bit, you'll get blade play.
