Clip removal on righty Salsa

How does the clip on the right-only Salsas detach? It's stymying me.

Loosen the 2 screws on ONE side of the handle(at the bottom end).

Remove barrel bolt.

slide out the ring in the middle.

remove clip(just lifts out).

replace ring, bolt and screws.
