Hi people,

Well saturday 17.April.2004 was a red letter day for me. I took delivery of my C45OR rescue Jr.

This is the biggest Spyderco as yet that i have. It's a beautiful orange and the blade is awesome. I like the words "Rescue 79 mm" etched on the blade (minus the quotation marks). It's my EDC for the next 2 weeks at least.

The action was a bit stiff and sticky but then i spent 1 hour working the blade with my singer multipurpose oil and old worn out jocks. It's now silky smooth and i like the idea of the interchangeable clip. This is the first of mine with this feature.

You know...i think the knives come *deliberately* sticky from Spyderco because that forces you to hold your knife, give it lots of TLC and get to know it better

All in all a great knife and looking forward to years of good use with all my Spydies.

Have a great day.

Kaizer.

Congrats kaizer!

I ALWAYS have the Rescue Jr. (ATS55) with me in my work bag.

I have carried it on NUMEROUS night dives clipped to the neck part of my wetsuit. It has also proven handy during facility shakedowns...BUT SHHHHH! Keep this on the down low as i will get fired should my Warden find out!

Great knife and enjoy!

God will put you over...if you let Him! Mark 11:23!

Hi Kaizer. Congratulations on your new spydie and enjoy it. Though I can understand its utility, I'm not very much into sheepsfoot blades myself...

Kaizer, the rescue jr. is my blade of choice for 10 or 12 working hours of every working day. I've carried one for years and I use it several times every day. Most people don't like the sheeps foot blade but I do. Welcome to the Rescue Jr. fan club.

Congrats on your new knife Kaizer! I love mine. If it just had a little bit of plain-edge on the end, it would displace my Delica as my EDC.

Enjoy your knife!

I thinking of getting some of these myself. Like Flinx said, I would like the tip to have a couple of mm of PE. Currently it looks a bit odd, but maybe it has a purpose. I was just talking with a friend this weekend about what to do if you would hit the water with your car, and came to senses that you really need a rescue type of knife in that situation.

<I>'odd tip'</I>
