Ok so we all heard that one before..."what if"! But say you were and you could only have one and just one knife with you. Which one would that be? As a knife collector I feel this input would be very interesting for alot of folks out there.

Myself I would go with a kabar next generation fighting/utility partially serrated. I feel that the combination of design and materials would serve best! So how about you?? HAPPY EASTER!!!!!!

I can only name qualities I would look for...
1> Sturdy blade, something I could use to hack at food with...
2> good steel, something that won't rust under the worst conditions... with care of course...
3> good edge retention
4> partially serrated
5> survival knife type of handle(hollow handle)
6> 6-8" blade

If I could only have one knife, I would probably cry, then pick up my CRK Project I and head out the door. It has a hollow handle, damn near indestructable construction, and tough steel that holds a good edge and sharpens well. Oh yeah, the back 1" of the blade is serrated as well if you need it.

I don't know how realistic these questions are, as I am rarely without at least 2 knives on my person, and when I go into the woods I ALWAYS have at least 1 fixed and 2 folders with me. The other thing that bothers me on how realistic this is would be the fact that my Project I rarely leaves my pack. Undoubtably it would be the best survival blade I own, but it's pretty big and I don't carry it unless I know I will need something that size.

I always have my Military with me so I guess that would be it.Next best would be the Native in my other pocket.
