Well the 25th birthday gods smiled upon young CKE and allowed him to buy the Strider SNG he has been eyeing for some time. Next will be a purchase for sure but I had to test the Strider waters. I can't say anything bad about this knife. It is a behemoth, double choils, G-10, Ti, S30V. It really is a quality blade. Thats an understatement. Anywho sorry to post such filth here, Take Care and hope you guys are having a great weekend.

CKE,

I only know of Striders by reputation (and from reading LOTR). I post once in a while on Delta Zs so we're in the same filthy mess there. Glad you got a good knife on your birthday! Give us a review and comparision once you break her in!

CKE, happy b-day, and congrats on the Strider!!

It's going to take a few days to break in. Open/close it a few hundred times (I'm not being funny here), and it will lighten up and smooth out quite a bit.

I had to send mine back to have the locking bar adjusted, and now it's amazingly solid.

You said the SnG is a behemoth, eh?! Try an AR or a GB! The SnG is small, dude, trust me!

Which SnG is it, the Generation 5?

Happy Birthday and congratulations on your present. Variety is the spice of life and knives are no exception.
I am a Spyderco fan but I am glad that there are other brands that also make some damn fine knives. I'd hate to see a Microsoft of the knife industry

jim> it is a Gen 5. Picked it up from Blueline Gear. Great place to deal with and close to T Bay too. Yea I know it is a baby compared to the AR/GB. Thought it would be the better EDC choice for now Take Care!!!

Happy Birthday!

From what I read about the Strider you'll probably enjoy it.
Tell us if you do in a little review later on, please.
