Plain edge Ladybug??????

Is there a reason the ladybug isn't available in a plain edge? It's all that keeps me from buying one.

My thoughts exactly (although I have CF lady). Ladybug should be all serrated or all plain. It is too short to be semi. Normal ladybug shoud be plain and the sheepsfoot blade serrated --> one would be able to recognize blade style by shape without need to open the knife even in dark.

I'll admit I didn't give it much thought when I bought it but I like the Ladybug the way it is.

Paul- Pick one up anyway. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

The ridiculous paranoia associated with serrations at airports, courthouses, schools, etc. (even with itsy-bitsy blades) justify a plain-edge Ladybug to me.

Hmmmm .... I like the idea of a plain-edge Ladybug for precision work, though maybe it can't do anything that a plain-edge Dragonfly, which is available in North America, can't do as well or better. And any high-security portal that is fearful enough to turn away a Dragonfly will probably turn away a Ladybug too.

Now ... Is there any way some Yankee who's monolingual in English can order from that Japanese page, particularly for models that aren't being sold through one or another US knife company's regular channels here?

I recognize some things on the Sakai page that I've seen as &quot;possiblities&quot; at the Spyderco booth at the SHOT Show, other things that have been in Ironstone Catalogs past, and of course some SOG models. Anybody besides me want to see that Outdoor Cooks's knife and the Outdoor Sashimi Knife in the North American market?

Paul, Tommi. Making them is not a problem. They are sold in the Japanese market, but their atitude towards serrations is not that great. We frankly have had very little call for plain edge Ladybugs. It also means 3 more SKUs to inventory.
