Just got a new S30V CE Military and the blade was binding.I tried to lossen the pivot but it did nothing.I figured, well its new and will loosen up like me PE did.I was then takeing off the clip to beadblast it like I do with most of my black clips and then saw what the problem was.The screws were going to far through the scales and hitting the blade.Ok easy fix, just grind a little off the screws.OPPs to much.No problem send spyderco a email and ask for a few screws and fix it up.All is good,NO.I was takeing out the screw that I did not take to much off of and the lanyard tube fell out of the spacer. It looked to have not been crimped on either side.It will slide right through.

Oh well I guess one gets through every now and then.I have it boxed up and ready to ship in the morning.

I will add that when I opened it up it looked at first to be perfect so I can see how it did get out and I am sure the folks at the factory did not think anything about the binding blade because it did feel like it was just a snug pivot screw.

I hope they can get it fixed up quik.I used 2 of the screws out of PE to put the clip back on the CE to send it in.Funny thing is that it still binds the blade when I put them in and they didn't in the PE,it may be that the one I left in was still to long.

Update, just got her back. The lanyard tube was fixed fine but the screws still rub the blade and they didn't send any extra screws.
I will go to a gaget shop in knoxville and see if they have some of the right size screws and buy a few extra.
Does any one know what the size is that is used in the Military?
