Having played with the Spyderco homemaker in the kitchen I noticed its similarity with a japanese laminated blade kitchen knife. They look as though they came from the same stable. This blade is by far the sharpest kitchen knife I have ever used with the stainless exterior giveg a rust free surface and the exposed high carbon edge rusting slightly but with a long lasting, easily resharpened edge(I still use a steel). This material cries out to be used on a Spyderco folder and maybe sourcing this knife to be rebranded as a Spyderco.

Hi V34. No laminate. Solid MDS. Nice steel.
