Hi Guys postman just delivered a FB03P that I won on Ebay. How did I ever miss this blade. I thought the perrin was the essence of stipped down purity, but it looks complicated in comparison. Very cool knife, I see they are now discontinued, shame.
does anyone know if there is a more discrete sheath for this knife?
Phil :D

I kept mine in a mini maglite sheath until it cut the thread. I usually untuck my shirt with the original sheath now. Great knife!

Did you get your "Bob Lum" fixed blade from "geobar" on Ebay? I got mine from him and he was a very good seller. Do you have any of the Bob Lum folders? I vote for Bob Lum for best Spyderco collaborator for the last decade. :) :spyder:

Hi there JD
No I got it off 'perfectransaction', took 7 days to New Zealand, excellent deal. I will look at making a slip sheath that only covers the blade.
Thanks Phil :)

PS no Lum folders as yet :spyder:

JD Spydo here. I got 3 Spydies from "perfecttransaction". Great guy to deal with. I also got very fast shipping from them as well. I would love to go to New Zealand some day. I here that January/February is the time to go. Am I right? :) :spyder:

Hi There JD Spydo
come on down, the weather is pretty settled from January to April. If winter sports are your thing July, August, September are the times to be here. Auckland is wet all year round, cold wet in winter warm wet in summer.
It really depend on what you want to do.
Regards Phil :)

Well Phil, don't you dare invite me because I will probably take you up on it. I have wanted to go to New Zealand since I was a kid and did a report on the country when I was in the 6th grade. If I did come would they let me bring a couple of Spydies for extra company? I had a friend that went there on business and I think the name of the city he went to was " Christchurch".
I used to be a long distance runner and I remember your guy Rod Dixon. A really super guy. Where do you get Spydies down there anyway? :) :spyder: :)

Hi There
As they say on the game shows 'come on down'. No problem with Spydies of various sorts except the 'fly no balisongs allowed. Once NZ was the home of medium and long distance runners Dick Quax,Rod Dixon and John Walker, not anymore!. although our man did win the Olympic Triathalon. Christchurch is in the South Island, the most english city outside England. Most of my knives come from the US,BF and Ebay. Phil

Well Phil I love that fixed Bob Lum as much as you do. Only one hitch however. I wish Bob Lum would design a fixed blade :spyder: maybe at least one to 2 inches longer. It would be the ultimate hunting knife. And I do like "Kiwi" fruit by the way, it has a flavor all it's own. :D :spyder:
