How many Gunting knives have/are you going to produce? I'm looking to buy one and was wondering the numbers. Also....for all the spydie owners out there, what would be the best knife for defensive carry? I'm looking at the Gunting or the Starmate. One last thing...could anyone explain how the new compression lock works? It sounds pretty cool....this will be the 6th edition to my spyderco family....hehe.

Hi Turbo. the Gunting is a regular production piece.

The compression lock places a small piece of metal between the anvil pin (stop pin) and the tang.
