Afer years of carring a sheath knife, I would like to buy a spyderco clip knife for work, genral use and self defence if needed. I would like one with a 3 3/8" to 4" 60/40 blade I find both egdes usefull. I'm not sure style or blade steel is the best for me the knife will get quite abit of use: cutting rope etc. and I would like to have a blade that holds an edge. Right now I'am thinking about Tim Wegner or Bob Terzuola Starmate or the Milatary SpyderEdge which looks like about 20% of the tip is a plain edge. Any comments on the pros and cons thanks.

EDC? Best bet would be a Pro-Grip. 60/40 edge, great blade style with an excellent grip. Don't get me wrong, the Starmate and Military are great, but for what you want to use it for (general use, etc.) a Pro-grip would be your best bet. Those others are BIG, I would know. (:-)) Best would be the stainless steel handled version. But this is just my opinion. Good luck choosing just one! hehe
