View Full Version : Help! I don't know what to buy next.
I just bought a PE ParaMilitary which is too early for Xmas so I'm allowed to buy another for a pressie to go under the tree. I already have the Native L/w, Native III, Calypso Jr, Meerkat, Delica and Moran FB01. What to buy - nothing bigger then the Para that rules out the Manix and Millie. I was thinking of a Pacific Salt for a farm knife or a Moran FB02 or a Perrin but I'm really stumped. Any ideas?

The Centofante 3 carries real nice and it cuts like hell. Like the calypso jr its a steal for the price. Its more of a knife you would carry on a lazy sunday or in a 3 piece suit.

See if you can find a discontinued model from a few years ago. Particularly, discontinued custom collaborations. These are much more for the joy of ownership than for working, however, they are just as capable or possibly more so. ;)
The added advantage is, you are never troubled with what you want to buy next, it's just a relentless hunt.................the thrill of the chase makes the rewards so much sweeter!! :D
Or, take a leaf from the book of UK Ken. It appears his quest is to get as many variations of one model as possible!! :p Incidentally, Ken has just informed me where one of my holy grails can be acquired.....the swine! :p
regards,
Simon.

You might think of a Dodo or some other 'aukbill. (sic)
The Harpy is a nice size and with the G10 handles it is a favorite user of mine.

I might be a touch prejudiced here, but I find the Harpy to be a wonderful addition to any collection. It is a very solid workhorse of a knife, wickedly sharp and versatile. It is also of an appropiate length to carry legally in most areas.
Just my $0.02...
All the best,

Don't overlook the Persian. It's very solid and rugged but has the good looks of a fine gent's knife with it's Micarta scales and stainless bolsters. I think it's the best-looking :spyder: currently made. The quality is amazing.

How about this one Blue PE Spyderhawk, will get collectable after a while, and not overly priced.

ordered the same on today :)
Well loki88 all I can say is YES & AMEN!!! to your Spyderhawk blue PE. It is definitely one of my all time favorites for sure. But you would not do it justice without just going ahead and adding the serrated version too. This is Christmas you know!! A set would be most appropriate you for X-mas. Also it is a MUST for all Spyder-heads to have a Dodo in their arsenal. Plus factor in that the Spyderhawk is no longer manufactured and they are disappearing from the shelves fast. I bought the last one from Grand Prarie knives just last weekend. There is your recommendation(s) for the big day. JD Spydo over and out for now :D :spyder: :D

I just visited my local knife shop and found a SE black Spyderhawk with a pricetag of 95 Euro! Thats 126 US $ ! This is really not affordable for me anymore! I need to purchase online, so i have to put it on my Credit card. The wife can see how much i spend every month on my "hobby". :o
Well Loki there are a bunch of USA vendors. I see that you are in Belgium though. Have you tried www.toolshop.de which is a German vendor closer to you. What about Ebay in Europe. There has got to be a way around that somehow. That's terrible having a strong desire for a certain :spyder: and not having a way to get. I do know that John F. Jensen has a few of them on his website also. Good Luck :)
Well the Lil' T is smaller than the Para Milli...sort of :)
