Return of the G10 Police

Not trying to cause trouble but I would love to see Spyderco resurrect the old flat ground G10 Police with the single steel liner, only modified to allow for tip up or down carry, I like tip up :) and in VG-10 steel, with the Boye Dent. If this knife were produced my delicas and enduras would never again see the light of day, I have a SS Police but it just ain't the same. Surely there are others here that feel the same.

Hey Civilian, that pic is awesome, any chance they'll make it?? Though I would still prefer my earlier suggested knife be added permanently to the product line, guess you can't always get what you want :)

Sorry to be the wet blanket but we've no plans to re-release the G-10 Police model. We did have a Sprint Run (1200 pieces) of Carbon Fiber Police Models that came out two years ago and they too are sold through.

Never had seen the created blue handle Police in the image posted here before. Nice!

Did the anniversary edition come out last year? I must have missed it....No, that picture is a very well done "photoshop" artist's conception of one.

While a lot of us here, myself included, would love to see the return of a G10 Police in some form, the two major problems are that "we", even as a whole, are a very small group and each of us seems to have our own idea of what form that return should take. The fact that the G10 version was dropped, and the all stainless retained, would seem to indicate that the "save and serve" community that is the primary market for the Police did not find the G10 handle particularly desirable.

Then again, you never know. Times change, tastes change, pehaps we're just "ahead of the curve". Spyderco has pleasantly surprised me more than once by revamping a retired model, so who knows what the future may hold.

the last of the G10 knives had the Boye dent, just managed to obtain both the PE and SE. Blade steel was still ATS 55, flat ground. stunning knives IMHO :eek:
To Joyce are there any Police variants in the pipeline????? :confused: :confused:
