Does anybody carry this way, do you have problems with pocket lint,Sand etc. do you think it has any bearing on discrete carry without problems with it being concealed. Talking about a small knife the salsa with a hangman's rope tied on.

Hi Druid, I carry whatever knife I am carrying loose in my left rear pocket. It is alway the only thing in there. Was doing it that for over forty years before I finally discovers Spydercos, am comfortable with it. Besides that, the way the laws are worded here, there's at least some question as to the legality of carrying a knife partially exposed, at least on the other side of the river.
My EDC "rotation" currently consists of a Kiwi, Calypso Jr., C41 FRN Native, Stretch and Schempp Persian, although lately, the Stretch has been getting the most pocket time. All except the Kiwi, which never had one to begin with, have had their clips removed. Never noticed any problem with lint in the knives. I did round the point at the top of the thumb ramp of the Calypso Jr. slightly to reduce wear and tear on my pocket. I rounded the two front "corners" of the handle on my Stretch a bit as well for the same reason.
Picture below is all of them, plus the micarta Jester that lives on my key ring.

I have been carying a SS Cricket for over a year just dropped in the right front pocket of my dockers. Haven't had any problems at all. Every once in a while, I'll use some canned air, or a blast from a compressor to get rid of the pocket lint.
