idea for extra forum

may i suggest to add a new forum on spyderco.com? how about a FS/WTB/WTT-forum to exchange Spyderco's amongst fellow forumites......?

i'm not sure if it will fit in nicely with Spyderco's commercial ideas of their website though.....( :confused: )

what do you guys think, good idea or not?

The Spyderco Forum guidelines strictly prohibit any sort of trading or buying/selling of knives anywhere on the forum. For good or ill, that is not likely to change.

Spyderco needs to support it's dealer network, including the brick & mortar stores.

That's why SFO sells current items for retail price, and selling/trading is not allowed on the forum.

It certainly is a good idea but I don't think :spyder: co will bite on this.
First, there's sort of a responsability linked to that and as other have mentionned, they want to support their dealers.

I am sorry that some of you will not agree with me on this one but I have never held back the truth of a matter yet. I agree with Dr. Lecter on this one for sure. Let's don't deviate from what has made this Forum the "class act" that it is. There are other Forums out there already to address those needs. Now don't get me wrong because I do a lot of trading. I have traded with other Forum members that I have gotten to know personally aside from this medium. Please let's keep this the way it is. It is so educational, informative, and thought provoking the way it is. If you go to dealing/trading
you will get a lot of folks who will have no appreciation for the excellence the company strives for. It goes like this: "If it ain't broke, then let's don't try and fix it" :) :spyder: :spyder:
