Out of curiosity will KL1 head fit on an E2D body?

Yes no problem.
Thats sweet news! Thanks.
Wouldn't happen to have an idea on run time would you?
I suspect that it would end up being something like the KL4 in both brightness and run time. Am I wrong?

On two cells the KL1 should run for about 4 hours. The KL1 does not produce as much light as the KL4 but if it is the new style KL1 it will throw further. The KL4 does not throw well but it puts out a wall of light. Also the KL4 has a runtime of just over an hour.

There are runtime graphs on ledmuseum.org
quote from the site:
"Runs for 2 hours 5 minutes to 50% intensity, and 3 hours 50 minutes overall. This is the two cell configuration."
I have a KL-1 on my E2 Executive, and love it. I can easily use batteries in it that won't even light an incandescent Surefire (kind of like an exhausted battery-gobbler).
Also have a KL-3 on my C-3 Centurion. Throws a decent amound of light, and seems to run forever.
Mine take quite a bit of abuse, as I use them at work daily for searching my work area for weapons/drugs. I've dropped them, banged them against things, and generally abused the heck out of them, with no ill effects at all. Very impressive.

Every Sure Fire light is very serious tool! Except from the occasional custom light, I find that nothing comes close to a Sure Fier light. When you can affort one - get one now and you'll never be sorry.
Jurphaas. :)
Thanks for all the info guys.
Makes me even more satisfied with my E2D purchase.
The KL1 I have was purchased on the secondary market so how can I tell if its one of the newer or older ones?
It has "A00033" on it. Is that a way of identifying which batch it came from?
