I tried to attach a picture to a thread in the form of a bmp, but the file size was "way" to BIG. Like almost 10 times.

Is there a way to reduce it's size? And is there a way to convert a bmp to a jpe or jpeg or other file extension to reduce it's size?

to resize & convert pics, use irfanview (great freebie program)...

if you want bigger pics(I post 400x600pixel jpg's), host them somewhere. 250free.com is great... 250mb space for nothing,

Ken, if you save your pictures in JPEG format, they will be a lot smaller.
Still, you need to make sure they are less then 100KB.
Otherwise, als VW said, try an image hosting site!
