i was just curious if it's known what types of steels they used or maybe still use in the collectors\traditional pieces.
or if it's not common knowledge which steels resemble in apearence/properties?

was curious after looking at NGK at Steve Corkum's custom blades. he chose 1050 for all of them, is that related?

Ohayo Gozaimasu i.v!!!

Good taste in knives there...Corkum makes some nice blades. However, I hope he has been sending them out as of late and is feeling better...

Tool steels I think are the current type used by makers who build these types of knives/swords. I have a book that talks about the composition of elements regarding the REAL Samurai swords. If I find it, I'll let ya know.

Lehitraot and God bless
