When you ordered from ubraidit.com did they have a minimum order? I am only looking for like 10 feet each of a few different colours. I know TAD Gear has paracord but they sell in the 100 ft roll...way too much for me. I appreciate your help.
Locally I can only get 2mm and 3mm climbing rope and it is not the same. I have had no luck finding a Canadian place to order 550 cord. Take Care!!!

No problem! I'll despatch it first thing in the morning. I have red, olive, tan, brown, cammo, black, orange and dark blue, are you sure that 10 ft of each is enough?

Ken :)

10 ft of each should be plenty...I don't want to be greedy :) I don't need any of the brown or camo though. Thanks again I really appreciate the help. Take Care!!!

Craig, just FYI in the event that you require more than 10 ft of each at some point in the future, Seals Action Gear http://www.sealsactiongear.com/ in Calgary, Alberta sell paracord in 50 ft bundles - black, white OD and tan.

Looks like you got it taken care of.
They did not have a min. order but the cord they have is kind of soft.
I have been buying some new stuff Wal Mart has in the sporting goods dept.
Many colors and ties up great. It is called Sportsman Survivor Cord made by Wellington.

Jeff, we have lots of that small diameter climbing rope here. I bought some today to pass the time till my 550 from Ken gets here. It ties not too bad, and is strong too. Multi coloured like what you have shown. Thanks and take Care!!!

Haven't seen it in Calgary either. I found some stuff at Canadian Tire, it was polypropolene, but it was in a 4 roll bundle - sort of an electric purple, that bright flourscent green, a flourescent orange and fairly bright blue. It was about $12.99 CDN - I wanted to try something other than leather, so I bit the bullet and bought it. It was nice because I could melt the ends so it wouldn't fray, but it started to look a little ragged after a week or so. I think I'll be giving these to my wife so she can use it in her craft things.

Haven't had a chance to get to Seals Action gear to see what they have - I think they just moved their store. They list Maxpedition stuff on their web page, but it would be interesting to see what they have and how much. Yup, paracord seems to be a little inconvenient to get short of mail order.

Continuing the quest - gord

I checked two different Wal Mart and the only thing they both had was this 'day-glo' stuff. I even asked and the employee looked up Wellington in their vendors list. No luck. Where in Sporting Goods did you find it?

If it's any consolation ghostrider, WalMart here in the NY Capital Distict never heard of it either. "Samson Marine" braided poly cord in day-glo orange, and some stuff that looked like really heavy camo paracord were the only things they had.

That's the stuff I got. I like the look of the stuff JSmith has better.

It is with the other rope in sporting goods.
I looked for some differant colors the other day but all they had was the clown looking stuff and some that was bigger around in camo but it was also kind of flat.
